Did you know OCEG is updating its GRC Capability Model to version 3.0 in September 2015?  The updates are meant to help simplify the model and make it more consistent with being able to use the GRC Capability Model v3.0 for your whole GRC capability, or any individual capability within the GRC capability.  It is also intended to show more of the continuous movement between all of the components and elements in the model.  GRC is not a linear process.

The update working group spent over a year analyzing and debating the current model, and receiving feedback from OCEG members, to create v3.0.

The new component and element view of the GRC Capability Model v3.0 looks like this:

The idea is information comes into the organization through the Learn component.  Once the organization learns, it can then align itself based on what it has learned, perform actions and controls, and then review.  Inputs and feedback from each of the components and elements are continuously considered so the GRC capability can be modified, or adjusted as necessary to ensure achievement of organizational objectives.

If you are familiar with OCEG, and the current GRC Capability Model v2.1, and would like more detailed information on the changes to v3.0, consider taking the upcoming GRC Professional Training on 13-15 October 2015 in Dallas, TX.  If you are new to OCEG and would like to understand how you can help your organization achieve Principled Performance, the reliable achievement of objectives while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity, by implementing an integrated GRC capability, than the upcoming training in Dallas is also meant for you.  In fact, one of the training modules includes GRC Strategy – how to get started with the GRC efforts at your organization with helpful tips and tools.

In this training we will provide detailed information on the new model and how to implement it at your organization.  The hands-on training is a combination of lecture, examples, and practical exercises to help you understand and know how to apply the GRC Capability Model v3.0 at your organization.

In addition to discussing the GRC Capability Model v3.0, we discuss the GRC Professional exam and prepare individuals to successfully pass the exam.  In fact, over 95% of the attendees are successful in passing the exam the first time after attending this training.  If you would like to significantly improve your odds of passing the exam, this course is perfect for you.
